About Nevada Housing Authority

The Housing Authority was established in November of 1979 by Ordinance No. 3237, as specified in Article V, Section 5.1 of the City Charter and authorized by Resolution No. 406 dated November of 1969.

Goals/Duties: The duties of the commission are set forth in Chapter 99 RSMo. Basically, the Commission is in charge of low income housing; administering programs for the HUD office; overseeing the administration of the housing authority office including setting rents and utility allowances; and making other financial decisions.
